Trust for America's Health, the Center Center for Biosecurity and the Robert Wood Johnson put out a report today reviewing the initial response to the swine flu outbreaks (not quite yet pandemic!). With any luck, I'll get a review up soon.
Apparently, NYC DoH has been purchasing Google ads that appear when people in NYC do searches for terms like, "flu." What a great way to get the word out in a targeted manner!
Yes, it's over a month old, but Craig Lefebvre is a master social marketer, and this is an interesting topic. His post about social media communications posted at the height of the swine flu media outbreak. It focuses on something I wish I could find the time to learn more about and post on – the APHA's Round Table for Strategy Development in Social Media and Public Health Communications.
