  • Staying on the mapping theme, HealthMap.org posted today on their efforts to map the health aspects of the Haitian disaster. I've downloaded their iPhone app before and found it to be quite interesting.
  • Ushahidi is an organization that provides emergency mapping ability to the public. By texting or emailing or posting to Twitter (amongst other ways), the public can build maps of what's happening in a disaster area (or war-torn country, as the case may be). I first learned about Ushahidi during CrisisCamp, and continue to be impressed by their work.
