Apparently, HHS medical teams have seen more than 15,500 patients in Haiti so far. They're beginning to see upticks in chronic conditions and infections, which meshes with the article I posted below.

Terribly sad story about the lack of basic health care in Haiti. And the worst part of all of this? Now that the disaster is out of the news, no one who isn't already there is coming. Celebrities won't be holding telethons anymore. This is as good as it gets.
Recovery HAS to be an essential part of disaster response.
