Unhappy with how H1N1 influenza played out? The WHO is set to begin a year-long review of their actions during the pandemic, including the use of the term "pandemic." It should be interesting, though one chafes at the one year timeline.
Haven't had a chance to read the full report, but the idea seems plausible. It speaks to a larger discussion about the definition of terrorism. Was Andrew Stack III a terrorist? Is Major Malik Nadal Hasan a terrorist?
Apparently, just sharing /some/ information isn't enough. Funny how that works. Do you have access to the info you need to do your job? If you work in CT, I'm guessing probably not.
Interesting study published by the Infectious Diseases Society of America that describes an observational study conducted in Singapore that purports to show no difference between N95s and surgical masks in preventing the nosocomial spread of H1N1 influenza.
From an old friend of mine to you. Baltimore City Health Department's Introduction to PODS and ICS video. From her explanation, it was done "homegrown/no budget."
Congrats to the folks down in Bmore!
