In honor of NPHW, the APHL has a great post on what lab workers do every day to support public health. They say it best in the article, "We would like to thank our unsung heroes in lab coats for protecting the public’s health – every day."
Really interesting article out of the Center for Biosecurity at PHMC about their two-year review of the Hospital Preparedness Program. The biggest gap identified in the ExecSum is the challenge prompted by what they call a Catastrophic Health Event, including regional coordination, patient transport, standards of care and guidance on hospital overall response.
